EUR/AUD tested but failed again 1.4880

FXStreet (Guatemala) - Currently, EUR/AUD is trading at 1.4890, up 0.03% on the day, having posted a daily high at 1.4896 and low at 1.4874.

EUR/AUD tested the downside yet again over the last US session and today so far. The 1.4880/75 mark holds and the pair couldn’t make a convincing dent.

ECB, will they? Not likely

The Euro has been surrounded by speculation over the ECB meeting tomorrow. While markets do not anticipate that the ECB will make any changes to rates, it will still make for an interesting meeting with respect of how exactly the ECB wish to handle the price of the euro in the current environment and whether or not there might be any changes to the lending ABS programs or SMP

EUR/AUD daily RSI sits at 35.39, in neutral territory

Looking to momentum indicators, the hourly 200 SMA is currently at 1.4905, down from the last close at 1.4973 and declining. Over the past 20 days, the exponential average closing price is 1.5119, and trending lower.

Support below can be found at 1.4891 (Daily Classic PP), 1.4886 (Daily Open), 1.4884 (Hourly 100 SMA), 1.4877 (Yesterday's Low) and 1.4874 (Daily Low).

After Wall Street closing the AUD/JPY climbed to 96.10 hitting levels not seen since June 5.
