EIA: US commercial crude oil inventories decreased by 6.9 mln barrels

Below are the key highlights from the EIA's weekly petroleum report for the week ending January 512 2018.

U.S. crude oil refinery inputs averaged 16.9 million barrels per day during the week ending January 12, 2018, 448,000 barrels per day less than the previous week’s average. 

U.S. crude oil imports averaged about 8.0 million barrels per day last week, up by 292,000 barrels per day from the previous week.

U.S. commercial crude oil inventories (excluding those in the Strategic Petroleum Reserve) decreased by 6.9 million barrels from the previous week. 

Total products supplied over the last four-week period averaged over 20.5 million barrels per day, up by 6.2% from the same period last year.
