AUD/USD drops below 0.9100

FXstreet.com (Córdoba) - The AUD/USD lost over 100 pips in a matter of minutes after the latest string of US data came in stronger than expected, boosting the greenback across the board.

AUD/USD turns negative

AUD/USD fell from a daily high of 0.9189 to a low of 0.9090 after the data before finding support and bouncing slightly. At time of writing, AUD/USD is trading at the 0.9110 zone, where it is 0.1% below its opening price.

AUD/USD levels to watch

As for technical levels, AUD/USD could find immediate supports at 0.9090 (daily low) and 0.9070 (200-hour SMA), while resistances are seen at 0.9160 (Aug 14 high) and 0.9189 (daily high).

US: Industrial Production flat in July

US Industrial Production remained steady in July, following a 0.2% increase registered the previous month, according to data released by the Federal Reserve Board. Market consensus pointed to a 0.3% rise.
