USD/JPY to remain lifeless until US Non-Farm Payrolls - FXStreet

FXStreet (Bali) - USD/JPY looks set to remain bracketed within familiar ranges until the release of the US Nonfarm Payroll data later on Friday, notes Valeria Bednarik, Chief Analyst at FXStreet.

Key Quotes

"Having been ranging for most of this week, the pair will probably remain lifeless until the release of the US Nonfarm Payroll data next Friday."

"Technically, the 1 hour chart shows that the price is a few pips below the 100 SMA, whilst the technical indicators are flat around their mid-lines, giving no clues on upcoming direction."

"In the 4 hours chart however, the downside remains favored, as the price develops below its moving averages whilst the technical indicators remain in negative territory."

"A break through 119.40 should see the pair extending its decline towards the recent lows around 118.90, while the upside remains capped by selling interest around the 120.00 figure."
