Key events ahead - Rabobank

FXStreet (Guatemala) - Analysts at Rabobank noted the key events for the day ahead.

Key Quotes:

"After yesterday’s storm we will probably have a much quieter session trading today with little key data to focus on. US weekly initial claims (and how high they do or don’t go this week) will be the first major focus, even though they are volatile, followed by the monthly Philly Fed survey, which is seen rising from 5.2 to 7.0, and the Q4 current account."

"Nonetheless, enjoy the relative calm while you can. With the global economy’s structural problems still unaddressed, and lower interest rates and/or a weaker currency the best exit from each country’s individual perspective, there are lots more of this kind of market volatility to come this year."

"Unlike the Fed, that prospect does not make me wink, or blink; but it does make my left eye twitch just like Chief Inspector Dreyfuss (as played by Herbert Lom) every time he heard the name “Clouseau”."
